Visibility Systems Academy. Built From Scratch.
An end-to-end build documenting my experience designing the brand identity and developing an educational platform that teaches people how to build strong visibility systems and become top candidates for job opportunities, through structured courses and training.
Building the Brand. Before the Platform.
A documented look at the visual identity development process — the logo, color system, typography and design language built before a single page of the platform was created.
Before the Platform Existed. The Brand Had to.
Before writing a single line of code or opening WordPress, I built the complete visual identity for the academy — the logo, color system, typography and design language that would carry the brand across every touchpoint.
I was responsible for designing the logo, color palette, typography and overall visual style from a blank page — then applying that identity consistently across the platform, social media posts and the presentation deck.
Designing a Visual Identity That Could Carry a Whole Platform.
Before any development work began, I was responsible for designing the complete visual identity of the academy — starting with the logo. I explored multiple concepts, testing different marks and wordmarks until I landed on a design that felt professional, clear and aligned with the academy's purpose of helping people build a strong professional presence.
I then built out the color system, choosing a palette that would work consistently across a dark hero section, light content pages, social media graphics and printed material. Alongside the colors, I selected the typography — a pairing of typefaces for headlines and body text that stayed legible and consistent across every format.
Once the core identity was locked, I defined the overall design pattern and visual style — spacing rules, image treatment, tone of imagery and layout principles — so that every future page, post or document would automatically feel like it belonged to the same brand.
With the identity finalized, I applied it in practice: designing a set of social media posts to announce and promote the academy, and building a complete presentation deck used to introduce the platform, its purpose and its offering to prospective partners and learners.
Only after this identity was fully built did I move into development — using it as the design foundation for every page and interaction on the platform itself.
The identity was built first, deliberately, before any platform work began. Everything after it followed the same visual language.
From logo to color system to typography, then into social posts and the presentation deck — every piece was designed to work together, so the platform itself would be built on a foundation, not decided on the fly.
